Welcome to the EAU 12th SEEM in Sarajevo

SEEM’s regional character provides a venue for local talent and attracts specialists from other regions. SEEM will take place in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s beautiful capital and Olympic city.

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to Sarajevo for the EAU 12th South Eastern European Meeting, the region’s most important urological meeting.

SEEM16 will take place from 23 to 24 September 2016 in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s beautiful capital and Olympic city.

The close collaboration with European School of Urology, ESUT and other partners enables SEEM16 to offer state-of-the-art lectures, plenary sessions, Young Urologist competition and Hands-on Training courses in laparoscopy and URS. The broad scientific programme will give a comprehensive overview of the field, representing the best and most up-to-date knowledge of every part of the field of urology.

Qualified young urologists will have the chance to apply for fellowships in various specialties. Traditionally, the main purpose of the SEEM is to encourage young colleagues to actively participate by submitting their scientific work, their experimental and basic research experience, and by discussing cases and techniques with Europe’s best urologists. With a programme that tackles urology’s most controversial topics, young and veteran urologists will take part in debates that offer new perspectives.

Sarajevo is a multicultural regional centre, in possession of an impressive history.

The last few South Eastern Meetings were outstanding and we hope the EAU 12th SEEM will only raise that bar higher!

The top 3 reasons not to miss SEEM16

Professional experience

The 12th edition of SEEM, like its predecessors, is designed, in content and concept, to provide an opportunity for young urologists in the region: to present their work, participate in specialist discussions and acquire the necessary experience for improving their professional careers.

Professional contacts

Sarajevo expects to welcome about 400-500 urologists to SEEM16, coming from all countries in the region and beyond. This is an ideal opportunity to make contacts with people of professional interest and to start new friendships which for young urologists can last for years.

Professional education

The leading urological authorities on current knowledge in the field urology will be part of the SEEM16 scientific programme. The excellent cooperation with the European School of Urology (ESU) provides comprehensive hands-on training in laparoscopy and upper urinary tract endo-surgery, under supervision of proven experts. The best way to learn is to learn from the best!
